Meeting Size & Microphones

How many people will be recorded? What type of microphone(s) do I need, and how many, and where should they be placed during the meeting?

Meeting Room & Configuration

What size room will the meeting be held in, and is the room noisy? What configuration is planned, a round table meeting or is the meeting a stage setup where individuals will be facing an audience?

Recording Media

What recording media and file format is best for me? Is a backup recording necessary, and are copies and distribution necessary, and how many?

PMR61 Meeting Recording Systems

For meetings where a small to medium size conference table is used (4-8 people), the PMR61's high performance internal microphones provide more than adequate coverage.

For somewhat larger meetings, say 10-15 people, consider the 61MCR1 Recording System. Featuring CM-1000 boundary mics from VEC, the miniature table-top design is a much lower profile than traditional microphones, and includes a light gauge 8' attached cable with a 3.5mm mini connector for easy connection to the PMR61. For even greater coverage the CM-1000 mics can be easily daisy chained. The 61MCR1 also includes the Superscope CA300, a custom fit hard shell case for storage and transport of the PMR61 and microphones.

For large group meetings and conferences, consider the 61MCR2 Recording System. Featuring the Audio-Technica AT2021 condenser microphones, these studio quality microphones are great sounding and complement the PMR61's 48V Phantom Power supply. The 61MCR2 also includes the CA300 hard shell case, plus On-Stage microphone stands, 50' cables, and a heavy duty nylon bag for transporting mic stands and cables.

Proper gain settings, input selection, and record levels are paramount in achieving quality recordings, and using the PMR61 “Record Check” feature will automatically make these critical settings. In a quick 12 seconds, the PMR61 analyzes which of the four inputs are being utilized, and adjusts the mic sensitivity and record levels to provide an optimum result. Recording using the PMR61 is simple, fast, and reliable when using Record Check.

PSD450mkII Meeting Recording Systems

If CD-R is your preferred recording media, consider the PSD450mkII recording systems. The 450mkII is an all-in-one portable recording system that records to inexpensive CD-R media, as well as to internal memory and popular USB flash drives. In addition to recording WAV files, record meetings as MP3 files and archive over 11 hours on a single CD for less than 30 cents a disc.

The mkIIMCR1 and mkIIMCR2 recording systems include PSD450mkII, and are bundled with the same components as the PMR systems.
