"Too Good to Be True"

"Just back from tour, I was asked for a copy of a song demo I'd written in Stockholm. The problem was that the song's original key was the wrong key for my session singer here at home. Using the PSD300, I was able to take the original band track, bump it up to the new key for my singer at the touch of a button and record a new CD. The fact that it sound as good as it did was quite amazing. For this function alone, the unit is worth it's price. Previously I'd tried the Roland Veriphrase unit but that would only do 30-45 sec. of the song at a time and was totally rocket science and undoable for me. The PSD300 did it in a flash.

"Here's another feature that's worth the price of the unit: to be able to take drum loops and lower the pitch to get real sub-bottom sounds and still be able to vary the tempo to my liking. This is all so easy to do it's quite stunning in that no one has thought of this before. I'm sure that song writers and producers have thought of it, dreamed it, and hoped for it, but finally someone has made the dream unit. 

"I will be taking this on the road with me forever on all my touring dates, recording dates and song writing dates. The carry case is really functional and takes some of other gear as well. My little Yamaha QY 20 MIDI composer (for drum and bass loops) fits in nicely, and this is my new song writing kit. It's great to be able to write to a groove, change tempos and keys at the push of a button.
